Over the centuries, many of the most powerful ghosts have formed The Parliament of Spooks. Their aim is to find a way to cross over into reality, where they will be all powerful. They monitor the human world, looking for a way back. The greatest myth within the parliament tells of the arrival of one that is "of both the living and the dead." The professor's ghost research is of great interest to them.
